Commercial Services
NORSAR Innovation is able to provide commercial services using the entire NORSAR Seismic Modelling Suite. Our experience and technical competence enables our clients to benefit from a rapid, accurate and usable solution to their seismic modelling needs.
The type of project undertaken varies greatly and can be tailored to give you a flexible solution. Within, NORSAR-3D, projects can vary from a turn-key illumination project (e.g. for those clients without a NORSAR license) through to the building or alteration of a NORSAR-3D model. The latter can greatly increase the turn around time of a clients project as it take utilizes the experience within NORSAR to build the model and enables you to progress quickly onto your geophysical analysis knowing that you have a valid and correct model in place.
Details of some of the project types undertaken are given in the menu bar to the left. For advice and quotations, please contact services@norsar.com
NORSAR Modelling Services include a number of tasks, like:
- Simulation of large 3D multi-streamer surveys to produce seismic attributes and/or synthetic seismograms
- 3D survey planning
- 3D seismic illumination studies and attribute mapping
- Well log data analysis, including S-velocity log prediction, fluid substitution and correction for drilling mud invasion
- Building of 1D/2D/3D rock models in the reservoir zone calibrated against well data and lab measurements
- Pore fluid substitution using rock models assuming different types of gas/oil/water saturations
- Estimating seismic parameters from rock/fluid models, including sensitivity analyses
- Modelling seismic response for different reservoir scenarios, e.g. fluid contacts, various fluid compositions, etc.
- Various modelling schemes, like 2D/3D ray modelling, 2D HybriSeis modelling (ray/FD), 1D full elastic modelling
- Seismic time-lapse feasibility studies
- Seismic reservoir scenario feasibility studies
- Target oriented model based imaging in the reservoir zone (PSDM)
- Modelling of multiples and peg-legs to help separate them from primary reflections
