SeisRoX Import/Export for Petrel

The SeisRoX™ Import/Export for Petrel makes it possible to make a SeisRoX™ model directly from a Petrel simulation model, or a Petrel geo model, and write seismic data from the SeisRoX modelling back to Petrel.

Synthetic 3D Seismic for Petrel

The sampling and extent of the resulting synthetic seismic cube (PSDM: Seismic) is taken from the input seismic cube (Orig Amp Depth). The surfaces in the Surfaces Folder were interpreted from the input seismic cube. The reflection coefficient is determined from the surfaces.

From the Migration Aperture and the current active velocity model the max dip angle at which a reflector is illuminated is determined as a function of depth. The reflection coefficient is convolved in 3D with the Wavelet in an extremely fast manner, resulting in the synthetic seismic cube.
