Advanced Survey Evaluation and Design; the Benefit of COIL
To illustrate a typical SED workflow we have used the NORSAR Seismic Modelling (NSM) software suite to compare the main marine acquisition designs available for a marine sub-salt reservoir. In this example a synthetic reservoir model was added to the well known SEG/EAGE salt model.

NORSAR joined WIT as an research affiliate in 2007. In addition to actively participating in the research topics, NORSAR has donated up to 5 full licenses of the NORSAR Seismic Modelling Suite to the participants in the WIT Consortium (estimated value EURO 1,000,000) for use on research topics in the field of seismic exploration.
